Biografía:

Formados en 1992, en la localidad de Bakersfield, California, Korn se puede definir como la catarsis del sonido alternativo, del metal y del funk, lo que posicionó al grupo entre los más populares y provocativos durante la era grunge. Korn comenzó su existencia en Bakersfield, basando su sonido en el metal característico de California, incluyendo en sus filas a los guitarristas James "Munky" Shaffer y Brian "Head" Welch, como bajo a Reginald "Fieldy Snuts" Arvizu, y a la batería a David Silveria. Después de publicar un LP en 1993 sus senderos se cruzados con Jonathan Davis, un estudiante de ciencias, noctámbulo y que era el lider y vocalista de la banda local Sexart; pronto preguntaron a Davis si le apetecía unirse a la banda, y nada más llegar el quinteto decide cambiarse al nombre a Korn (anteriormente se llamaban LAPD).

Tras firmar con Epic's Immortal, publican su álbum de presentación entrado ya 1994; y gracias a una una gran gira que incluyó telonear a Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Marilyn Manson y 311, el disco no dejó de subir en las listas de manera lenta pero progresiva, llegando a ser disco de oro. Su siguiente trabajo sale en 1996, “The Life Is Peachy”, siendo un éxito inmediato y llegando al número tres de las listas americanas. El verano siguiente son cabeza de cartel del Lollapalooza, pero se ven forzados a dejar la gira cuando a Shaffer se le diagnostica una meningitis.

El mayor éxito de ventas viene a partir de 1998 con “Follow The Lider”, con el que Korn llena los titulares nacionales cuando un estudiante de Zeeland, Michigan es suspendido por llevar una camiseta con el logo del grupo; el director de escuela tachó luego su música de "indecente, vulgar y obscena". En 1999 se publica “Issues”, en el 2002 “Untouchables”, y en el 2003 “Take a look in the mirror”.
